The Story
A drug dealer named Kurt is killed by his own henchman. Imagine his surprise when he is reincarnated fully conscious into a newborn baby boy named Keenan, hostage to a clueless millennial couple in suburban Campbell, California. As he grows up in a confusing middle class prison, tortured by the follies of his past, he plots the eventual confrontation with his murderers.
Part surreal coming-of-age memoir, part crime novel, Imagine My Surprise! is a comic, dark commentary on childhood in the 21st century and the banal destruction of substance use.
