About Tom Beyer
After graduating from Sonoma State with a Jazz Degree, Tom Beyer did a short stint as a public school music teacher before ditching everything for life as a working musician. The San Francisco swing music scene of the late '90s found Mr. Beyer as the stand-up bass player for the irrepressible Lee Press-On and the Nails. It didn't take long for Beyer's reputation as a seriously trained and outrageously funny musician to get around and he was soon stolen by The New Morty Show, who had a record about to be released and a tour scheduled. Somehow during all of this, Beyer managed to put together his own outfit, Acme Swing Company (named after Acme Beer, for whom his grandfather was the biermeister). It wasn't long before Beyer quit New Morty to focus on his own band, which soon released their own album, entitled Premium Hops (with sleeve design by K.S. Haddock). Alas, the swing scene came to an end. These days, when he's not at his day job, Mr. Beyer is kickboxing and spending a prodigious amount of time recording music at his home studio. He completed the 'Hell' score and soundtrack at the end of September, 2002, about a year after he wrote the first notes.

Back in the swing, Tom Beyer.
