As a digital artist for Gap Inc. Direct, I retouch, color correct and optimize images for their e-commerce sites. Duties include massive asset management and photoshop training.

As the digital specialist at Flax, I'm responsible for all the imaging in both their catalogs (Flax, T. Shipley, Reliable Home Office) and their ecommerce sites. Duties include Photoshop finishing (pathing, retouching, color correcting and compositing), CMYK manipulation, web optimizing, asset management, in-house photography and the imaging side of Quark production.

SandBox Interactive

SandBox Interactive is a subsidiary of SandBox Studio (see below). As an interactive producer, I prepared virtual reality product showcases for the internet. This included digital retouching, optimizing, Flash preparation, video editing (using Final Cut Pro), and design. I also served as copywriter and interface consultant.

Digital Manager
October 1998 - January 2000

SandBox Studio is one of the largest digital and conventional photo studios in Northern California. As digital manager, I was the lead photo retoucher in charge of color correction, retouching, photo composition, and web optimization. I managed the flow and storage of all digital files produced by the studio (in the tens of thousands), and supervised 1 to 6 retouchers at all times. I was also the IT manager for a network of 25 Macs and 3 PCs, all linked to an NT server.

The following are images I color corrected and retouched, taking them from their not-ready-for-prime-time condition into the fabulous images they are today. Also, the Dolce & Gabbana images in my portfolio.

Cost Plus, Inc.

Cost Plus, Inc. is a national retail import chain. As assistant art director in their advertising department, I prepared all ads for print in newspapers, magazines, and billboards. This included layout design, photo retouching/silhouetting, copy placement, ad trafficking, and pre-press preparation. I also managed the department Mac network.

Comedy World

Comedy World is a radio broadcast network. As managing editor of their website, part of my duties included creating genuine-looking newspaper headlines using Photoshop. I also translated AVI and MPEG files to Quicktime and Windows Media.
